In case you're wondering who is running this tavern: Hi, I'm Burgy - a vegan metalhead, Linux user, and cat whisperer. As far as I know almost every member shares at least one of these so there's that!
My Guild Wars 2 journey started during beta. I've never been an MMO guy but the map design, the music, and all the little details got me hooked. Add to that the amazing community and you get an evergreen game that isn’t likely to lose its charm anytime soon. Firebrand used to be my main but now I spend almost all of my time on casters (chronomancer, scourge, and tempest).
Personally I don't need high intensity content every day, and min-maxing isn't my kind of thing either. My joy comes from helping people, therefore I dedicate many hours each month heal-carrying new players through their first dungeons and fractals. Fashion and decorating our guild hall are my endgame.
Oh, and if you've ever met a reaper lady playing My Immortal in the pavilion in Trainer's Terrace, Queensdale - that was me!
Our History
While we started as a dedicated Guild Wars 2 guild, this community is becoming something larger. We are essentially a group of friends who started embarking on other adventures together such as the Daggerheart TTRPG.
This works because we value shared experiences over rigid roles. Sometimes people fit into the group perfectly but fall out of sync with GW2's cycle or wait for new content, so branching out keeps things fresh. Same group of friends, new games to discover and enjoy.
